MGDA hosts The 2010 Minnesota Grouse Championship

Starting Monday October 11

Where: Rum River State Forest

Purse: $1500.00 if a Runner up is named, the purse will be divided $1050.00/ $450.00 with a rotating silver trophy cup to the winner.

Drawing: Friday October 8th, 8PM at the home of Greg Gress.

The Stakes: Minnesota Grouse Dog Championship (60 Minutes). $100.00
Additional running at the discretion of the judges. Acceptable native grouse work required to win.

Reuel Henry Pietz Derby Classic (30 Minutes)- Potential Grouse Dogs......... $50.00

Rotating Trophy. 50% of the entry fees divided 50-30-20. Rosettes to all placements.

Handlers must walk in all stakes

A special congratulations to the owners and handlers of the 2010 Dog of the Year recipients. Each of the dogs are listed below on separate posts(click on the photo for a larger view). MGDA PHOTO CONTEST

MGDA announces its first annual photo contest.

The rules.

1. The Photograph must contain a dog, and or an upland game bird.

2. The contest is open to all MGDA members.

3. The Photograph must be shot by the member of the MGDA who submits the photo.

4. The photos must be taken from Jan 1 2010 until the 2010 MGDA Championship is complete.

5. All Entries to be sent to Ben McKean. Ben@mckeanphoto.com Minimum size is 5x7 at 72 DPI Preferred size is 8x10 72 DPI. Please add your Name, Phone Number, Name of the Dog if it applies.

6. Currently we are discussing the prizes and judging method.

Don't worry about the camera gear you own. A good shot is a good shot. Have fun.
